Idea From A Dream.

I dreamt this scene this afternoon. I plan on writing a novel with this scene in the future. For now, I'm storing it here while it's still fresh.

"Which one of them has the slip?" The sergeant asked gloatingly. "It's that asshole!" yelled one of the privates. A tall black guy stood up stoned face. He heads over to the sergeant and shakes his head. Then, he heads back to his bunk. The others shout in disbelief. Unfortunately for them, the young private was going to stay. I sat down in the grass, until something caught my eye. He had long curly hair just like my best friend. If I didn't know any better, I'd think it was really him. He was wearing a white wife beater, part of his tattoo was showing. The afternoon sun glowed around him. He turned and looked at me. It was my best friend after all. His face looked exactly how I remembered it. Brown eyes, a small goat-tee with a thin mustache. Then, I woke up from my trance. It was all just an afternoon daydream. My heart sank after realizing he was still dead. Dreams were the only way I got to see him, so that's why I dreamt so much. "You're the man of 2006. You can do this," Andy said. I didn't even hear him come next to me. "You alright?" he asked. "Yeah, I just...I thought I saw...nevermind," I replied. "Is it about Benny?" he asked, almost like he was reading my mind. I nodded solemnly. "Look man, it's gonna take time. I lost my brother my senior year. I know the pain hurts. But, you gotta get back on your feet. Benny would want you to live out your life. He wouldn't want to see you like this," he said. "I know but...it's so hard, man. I know I need a level head to win this thing, but it's like I'm seeing Benny everywhere. It's driving me insane," I confessed. "Do this for Benny, man. It'll help you feel better. He'd have liked that," said Andy. "Alright, man. I'll do it for Benny," I agreed. He offered his hand to help me up. I grasped it and pulled myself up with his help. Then, we went off to the competition.

Virgin Boy.

Jim Wells was walking the streets of the city on a Saturday night. He was heading back to his friend's place, but he wasn't staying for long. It had been a while, since Jim hung out with any girls. A month ago, his good friend, Darren had taken him to a strip club. Jim was amazed at how hot the girls looked. One of them asked if he wanted a lap dance. Jim never did anything sexual with a girl. He heard his friends brag about their sexual experiences and first times. He decided to give the lap dance a try. If he didn't like it, he wouldn't have to do it ever again. The stripper's name was Leinie. She had a nice slender body, straight black hair, and green eyes. She smelled like flowers. She led him to the table and he paid the amount needed. Then, she led him to the back room. While she grinded on him, they talked. He told her that he was still a virgin and her response shocked him. She thought it was the greatest thing in the world. Jim was well liked by everyone. Always a gentleman. In fact, a strip club would be the last place that Jim would be seen in. His respect for women was phenomenal. Jim's motto was chivalry is not dead, it's just forgotten. After the lap dance, he tipped her and she gently kissed his cheek. Him and Darren left shortly after. It had been a month since he'd been there. Once in a while, he'd think of the awesome time that he had over there. For some reason unknown to him, he wanted to go back. So, he walked back from the bar to Darren's place. Darren had broken up with a girl that he thought he was gonna marry two weeks ago. His sexual tension had been building, since then. Jim arrived at Darren's apartment and knocked on the door. Darren answered it. "Hey, man. What's up?" Jim greeted him. "Not much, man. What are you up to?" asked Darren. "I'm thinking of going back to Easy Access. Do you wanna come?" Jim offered. "Yeah, man. Hold on. Let me just change my shirt," said Darren. They left after five minutes. When they got there, they ordered their one drink minimum and sat at one of the tables. Jim scanned the room. He was looking for Leinie. She was his favorite one. Another stripper by the name of Sarah came by the table. She convinced Jim to come get a lap dance from her. Although, she was pretty, he didn't enjoy the lap dance as much as he did with Leinie. Sarah was too rough on his thighs. Still, he tipped her, she gave him a gentle kiss on the cheek, and he went back to the table. Jim waited and waited for Leinie to come by the table, but she was nowhere to be seen. He was just about to grab Darren and leave, when he spotted her. He headed over to her. "Leinie?" he said unsure. She turned around. It was her alright. No one had eyes like her. "Hey, you look familiar," she said. "Uh...yeah, are you busy?" Jim asked nervously. "You wanna go to V.I.P?" she asked. He nodded and she led him to the back. She started grinding on him. "You're my smart virgin boy, aren't you?" said Leinie, finally remembering him. "Yeah, I am," Jim confirmed it. "The world needs more nice guys like you," she said. "Thank you," he said politely. "So, whatca do, tonight?" she asked him. "Nothing, really. I felt like coming here. It's been a while," he said. "Yeah, nothing's really changed with me," said Leinie. "When did you start working here?" asked Jim. "About four years ago," she answered. "Don't take offense to this, but why work at a strip club?" he asked. "I'm sure you could do something else," he added. She laughed. "Gotta pay the bills somehow, virgin boy. Some nights are slow, but it's not too bad," she replied. "I couldn't do what you do, Leinie. I wouldn't wanna bump and grind on some of these dirty old men that come here," said Jim. She laughed again, but harder. "Well, once in a while, I meet sweet guys like you," she replied. She stopped and turned to look at him. "Did you enjoy that?" she asked them. "Yes, very much so, thank you," he replied. "Do I get a tip?" she asked innocently. "Of course. What kind of guy would I be if I didn't leave a tip?" he replied. She smiled brightly. He handed her a twenty dollar bill. What Jim didn't know, was that he was Leinie's favorite client, because not only did her feel special, but he tipped very well. "I hope to see you again, virgin boy," she breathed in his ear. "You will. I promise," Jim assured her. She kissed him gently on the cheek and led him back to the table. Darren was waiting for him. "Feel better?" he asked with a grin. "Yeah, much better," he replied. "Alright, lets get out of here," said Darren. "Sounds good, man," Jim replied. They left the strip club and went back to Darren's apartment. Jim hadn't stopped grinning, since he left the strip club. Not because he had gotten a lap dance from one of the most beautiful girls he's ever seen. But, because he felt just as special as he made her feel. Even at a strip club, he was still a gentleman and everyone knew it.

A Preview That's Six Years In The Making

Let me give you a little background. I started this when I was in 11th grade. I didn't get too far with it, so I tried again. It went a little better, but it still wasn't meeting my expectations and it never got finished again. I tried once again and got past the halfway point. Still, it wasn't what I wanted. Finally, I got smart and decided to TYPE the story on Microsoft Word. Yes, for 5 years, I've hand-written this story. Right now, things are going good for it. I finally have it where I want it and I work on it every now and then. What this story's about, is a junior in high school that's coming of age. I plan on making this into a trilogy. Right now, the title is The Gang Wars Saga". The piece below hasn't been included yet. In fact, I'm putting it in here, so I have it when I need it. So, you're getting a preview before anyone else. Let me know what you think.

"This is it, Jacob. The day you've been waiting for," said Axel. "Yeah, people are finally gonna get what they have coming to them," I replied. Jessie's hand grabbed mine and pulled me in for a kiss. "Soon, I'll never have to worry about her lips touching mine again," I thought to myself. "Both of us will have vengeance. Then, we can move on to bigger and better things. Like planning your wedding," said Axel. "Yeah, things will be the way they should be," I replied. "Did you get enough sleep last night, sweetie? You look exhausted," said Jessie. "Yeah, I'm alright, baby. Everything's gonna be fine," I assured her. That was a blatant lie. I didn't get that much sleep. Only about two hours worth. My nerves wouldn't allow me the luxury of rest. Ken and I went over the plan again and again. I could recite it in my sleep. As good as it was, there were still holes in it. "You're not still thinking of....HER....are you?" Jessie asked. "No, babe. She's of no importance to me," I replied. This was a half truth. Abigail wasn't on my mind as much as Marsha, but I still had a crush on her. If everything went as planned, Marsha and I would have all the time in the world. I couldn't think of a better reward than that. "Alright, lets get the brothers and get this over with," said Axel. "Agreed," I said. Axel gathered the others and we piled into his car. Jessie sat on my lap to my displeasure. She kept kissing my neck the entire way there. Axel parked the car behind an abandoned building. One of the guys cautiously checked the area. He signaled that no one was around. "They probably won't even show up. Filthy cowards," he spat bitterly. "They better show up," I said menacingly. "Or I'm as good as dead," I thought to myself. "Alright, here's where I want everybody. I want two people behind that wall. The rest on the other side. Jessie, I need you to get on that roof. When you see them coming, shine your knife in the sun," Axel ordered. "Come with me, sweetie. You know I hate heights," crooned Jessie. "Alright, babe. I'll come with you," I told her. Man, this was gonna be easier than I thought. "No, I need Jacob with me. I want Ken to see us. He's ruined both of our lives. Today, we're gonna get our revenge," said Axel. "Actually, I'd rather go with Jessie, Axel," I told him. "Jacob, she'll be fine. Come on, you deserve justice. How's this sound? I'll let you kill Ken after we're finished. Besides, I'd rather kill that traitor, Brian anyways," said Axel. "I appreciate that, but I think Jessie'll feel better if I'm up there with her. I'd rather go with her. Nothing personal," I objected. Axel looked hard at me. My entire body was shaking. "You're willing to give up a kill to be a lookout?" he asked. "Jessie's safety is more important than a kill," I responded. Axel nodded in agreement. "Alright, go up there with her. But...this isn't playtime. No fooling around up there. After we kill them all, we can go back and celebrate. Until then, stay alert. Are we clear?" he said. I nodded. Jessie grabbed my hand, kissed me again, and led me away. "I know where there are some stairs, babe. Walk around towards the back of the building," I instructed her. She led us to the back of the building. We climbed up the stairs slowly. Before we reached the top, I wrapped my arms around her. "Sweetie, you heard Axel. We can't play just yet," she said softly. "I'm not playing," I whispered coldly in her ear. Then, I threw her to Ken. The others were waiting up there for us. "Thank God, you're here," I said to them in relief. Ken was holding Jessie's mouth shut, but he grinned. "A little nervous were you?" he said. Zack grabbed Jessie's feet and they held Jessie over the side of the building. She screamed and the Blood Brotherhood heard it. "Here comes the fun part," said Ken. Greg, Brian, and Dave went off to fight off Axel and his clan. Zack and Ken brought Jessie back up. "We know you tried to frame us. Confess and we'll let you go," said Ken. "I refuse to tell you anything!" She spat. They held her dangling off the side of the building again. She screamed again and pleaded with them to let her up. Finally, they did. The others kept knocking Axel and the others down, but they kept on coming back for more. "So, you did try to frame us," said Ken. "Maybe...maybe not," said Jessie bitterly. Ken looked at Zack. "Ok, plan B," he said. They picked up Jessie and headed down the other side. Axel had fought his was to the top. I ran towards him and kicked him as hard as I could. He fell down the stairs, knocking down the others as well. "Good move," complimented Greg. "Thanks," I replied. We ran off after Ken. The van was waiting for us when we came down. We climbed in and Ken sped off.
