Da Boyz Future Chapter.

I've been working on something new, lately. I haven't written this chapter yet, but I intend to.
-------------------------------------------------------------

Jack was usually at Danny's more than he was home. Unfortunately for him, the only way to get to Danny's during these dark days, was through Sam. Danny tolerated Sam for Jack's sake. Truth be told, he didn't care much for him. Jack on the other hand, was like family. He wanted to invite Jack to his sister's 15th birthday party, but he knew that would involve inviting Sam as well. "Screw it," thought Danny. "Come to my sister's birthday party this Saturday," he told him. He looked over at Sam. "You too," said Danny. "Alright, we'll be there," said Jack. "My sister's entering into young womanhood, so you boys need to dress nice. I'm going in all black. That's how I roll," said Danny. "That'll be no problem," Jack replied smugly. He glanced at Sam. "This slob better not embarrass my boy or there's gonna be problems," he thought to himself. That week, Jack took his suit to the cleaners. He picked it up on Friday before he went over to Sam's to earn some money. Danny invited Connor, his boss, and some of the guys from his work as well. His brother, Carmen invited Connor's ex, Kacie. "I don't wanna dress up too much. What if we're the only ones in suits?" said Sam. "Don't give me your excuses. We're not gonna be the only ones. Now, get your ass in the damn shower," Jack snapped at him. Sometimes, he didn't know why he bothered. After Sam's shower, Jack jumped in. Although, he'd never admit it in front of his parents, he actually didn't mind dressing up like this. He liked to look good. After he was done putting his suit on, he observed Sam. Even he had to admit that Sam looked somewhat decent. They headed out to meet Danny. They picked him up in front of the church. Like Jack, Danny was dressed from head to toe in black. He got in the car and they headed to the banquet hall. "Open bar from 1:00 to 7:00," Danny informed them. "Beautiful," said Jack. When they arrived, Connor and Danny's other guests were there. Carmen was there, but Kacie was nowhere to be found. "Where's your date?" Jack asked him. "Danny's stupid girlfriend dragged her off to help her get ready," Carmen answered bitterly. Jack laughed. Then, he started talking to Connor. He noticed that he kept looking at the front door. "Nervous?" he asked him. "She texted me 20 times and called me five. She's psycho, man. I think she's stalking me," said Connor. "Hell, I've done that with girls before," Jack replied. An hour into the celebration, Kacie and Jameson had not arrived. Finally, they showed up. Connor immediately excused himself. Jack barely heard him. He nearly lost his breath when he saw Kacie. She was wearing a white dress with a red and yellow design. She spotted him and headed over beaming. "Hey, Jack. How are you?" she greeted him. "I'm not too bad, how are you?" he replied. "I'm good. Where did Connor go?" she asked. "He thinks you're stalking him, so he ran off," Jack told her without caring. Kacie laughed. "It's because I called him all those times isn't it?" she said. "Yeah, something like that," said Jack. "I did that on purpose to piss him off," she replied laughing. Jack laughed with her. They sat down and watched as couples started to dance. By this time, Jack was on his fourth beer. He finished it and headed over to get another one. When he came back, Kacie and Carmen were engaged in conversation. He stood next to Danny and took a swig from his bottle. Carmen walked away to greet other family at the party. "Do you think I look pretty, Jack?" asked Kacie. "No," Jack replied automatically. She seemed taken back by his response. Then, he looked at her and smiled. "I think you look beautiful," he told her softly. "Awww, thank you, Jack." She hugged him, then gently grabbed his wrist. "Dance with me, Jack." She told him as she led him to the dance floor. Jack put his hand around her waist, the other in her hand and they swayed gracefully to the music. Jack couldn't help but grin as he gazed into her eyes. She smiled back as she met his gaze. Sam looked at them with jealousy. He took out his phone and started to record them dancing. "Enjoy it, because soon she'll be mine," he thought bitterly. Kacie drew herself closer to Jack. "Damn, it's been a while," thought Jack. The last time that he really danced with a girl, was his senior banquet. He remembered it like it was yesterday. How the girl rested her head against his chest as they moved slowly together. She kissed him on the cheek after it was over. The song ended and Jack led her back to the table. "Thank you," she said. "My pleasure," he replied, still grinning. Sam was laughing and that caught Jack's attention. "What's so funny?" he demanded. "You dancing. I'm thinking of putting it up on the internet. You looked ridiculous," he gloated. "How the hell are you gonna put it on the internet when there's no video cameras here?" Jack taunted. "I have it on my phone," Sam told him. "Let me see it," Jack demanded. Sam handed over the phone. Jack looked at the video. To his relief, he didn't look as bad as Sam claimed. In fact, he looked pretty good. Still, it was a bit creepy that Sam had sat there, recording him. He looked up the options for the video and hit the delete option. "Here you go, asshole. Put it up on the internet now," Jack jeered at him as he tossed his phone back at him. Sam glared at him, but said nothing. After the party was over, they headed over to Danny's place. Kacie rested her feet on Jack's lap. Jack massaged them gently. Sam glared at them. Carmen showed up and sat with them. They talked for a half hour, then they turned in for the night. Jack got the love seat, Sam was on the floor, and Carmen slept with Kacie on the couch. Around six in the morning, Carmen left. Kacie sat up and Jack moved over to the other couch. "Are you alright?" he asked. "Yeah, I'm good. I'm just thinking about Connor," she told him. "He screwed up, Kace. It's that simple," Jack told her gently. "Yeah, but he doesn't know it yet," she replied. "He will," Jack assured her. She cuddled up next to him and closed her eyes. Jack gently put his arm around her. "Your heart's beating pretty fast, Jack. Are you alright?" she asked without opening her eyes. "Yeah, I'm good. It's just from this dream I had," he replied. Although, that wasn't the case. The reason why his heart was beating rapidly, was all because of her. Jack smiled again and shut his eyes.
